Do a search for children's toys online. Pick toys that would be appropriate for each of the following ages:

• 6 months old
• 4 years old
• 8 years old

1. Describe the toy and its purpose.
2. Describe which stage(s) of development, according to Piaget, a child at that age (6 months, 4 years, or 8 years old) would be experiencing.
   • Explain why the toy(s) you chose for children in that age group are appropriate for that age group.
   • Add supporting evidence (for why the toy is appropriate for that age group and developmental stage) from your text.
   • Your 3 Piaget-related explanations should be about 100-150 words each.
3. Describe which stage(s) of development, according to Erikson, a child at that age (6 months, 4 years, or 8 years old) would be experiencing.
   • Explain why the toy(s) you chose for children in that age group are appropriate for that age group (according to Erikson's ideas and theories). Add supporting evidence (for why the toy is appropriate for that age group and developmental stage) from your text.
   • Your 3 Erikson-related explanations should be about 100-150 words each.

Notes:

• Please feel free to include pictures of the toys you selected, if you'd like! (This is not required, however!)
• For this assignment, you will need to choose at least 3 different toys (appropriate for children of the 3 different ages). However, if you want to separate it out and select 2 toys for each age group - one appropriate according to Piaget, and another according to Erikson (for a total of 6 toys) - that is fine! Just be sure to adequately address the purpose of each toy and why it is appropriate for children of a certain age, according to Piaget's or Erikson's stage theories, as appropriate. Just make sure to cover BOTH Piaget's AND Erikson's theories for all 3 ages. (Also -please specify which theory-maker and developmental stage you're referring to when discussing a toy!)
