Question: What laws could be implemented to protect you as a consumer and give you more trust in the law process? Response: New laws are created but still have the same problems. Protecting consumer privacy should be a company's number 1 priority. In the past, you could search the internet with no problem. Now, if you clip on something, you start receiving spam mail and ads you didn't'' want. I am constantly unsubscribing to emails sent to me only because I accidentally clicked on an ad or just to see what it's about. It becomes overwhelming on the number of emails and ads I see for just looking at one thing. Another one would be the Consumer Product Safety Act,,, whose job is to protect consumers from unreasonable risk of harm from products. The airbag is an example of a product that is supposed to protect consumers but causes more damage than an accident. Airbags were created to protect consumers from car accidents. But airbags have been known to kill consumers as well. The National Center for Statistics and Analysis says that from 1990 to 2008, more than 290 deaths were caused by airbags. This product was put in cars to help protect and even save lives when accidents occur. Now with every product,,, there could be a risk from using it,,, and are consumers safe from all the products we use? This is why laws needs to be enforced to protect consumers better.
