Do you think in the state of Texas as a construction worker has made a come back due to the corona virus?

A construction worker, 16 years or older, had an unemployment rate of 3.8 in December 2019 which was about average in comparison with the industry. In December 2020, the unemployment rate shot up to 13.1, one of the biggest jumps in the industry. Next to hospitality/leisure which had a rate of 16.7 unemployment, construction was the second highest overall. Being part of the construction industry, I saw the effects that the pandemic had on the industry, especially late in 2020 were jobs that were started before the pandemic ended and no other jobs were being funded or pushed back. In Texas where I live, the state unemployment average was 7.2 in December, 2020, slightly higher than the national average. Texas faired better than most states when it came to restrictions which contributed to the economy and trickled out for the employment rate. The pandemic caused restrictions, which forced business to cut jobs since people were not buying products as they should. Trade tensions with China and importing and exporting holds also added to the unemployment rates.
