To do this, you must determine the estimated cost of the trip which will include transportation, hotel, meals, miscellaneous expenses, conference fee, both at home and at the conference location.

2. Ms. Armstrong has been granted approval to attend the business conference. You are now required to prepare a travel itinerary for Ms. Armstrong ensuring that she knows the dates and locations for the trip:

Transportation information both locally and at destination

Hotel contact information, including hotel check-in and check-out times

Conference location and times

Use 24-hour clock for times

You have received an email from your manager requesting that you assist with the upcoming "Small Business Awards Gala". This is an event that celebrates and showcases leading small business owners and members making a difference around the Province.

This event will occur on the last Thursday of next month. The location of the event will be at the Liberty North Conference Centre, 100 Maple Street, Ottawa, Ontario. A reception with drinks and light snacks will commence at 5:00 p.m. and will be followed by dinner (7:00 p.m.) and awards ceremony (8:30 p.m.).

Responses are required by the second Wednesday of next month.

TO DO:

1. Create a letter of invitation to send to the recipientsusing merge fields.

Using the MS Word Mailings feature, compose a letter inviting the five recipients to the event. (Recipient list provided in Word file with this examwhich you will use to create a recipient list in the mailings tab). The letter is from Ms. Armstrong but generated by yourself. Ensure that you use the company letterhead, and include in the body the name of the event, date of event, times, location, and date to confirm. Merge recipients from Word recipient list provided with exam Save both the merge field draft letter and the completed merged letters for submission.

2. The awards ceremony was fully attended and believed to be a success. Ms. Armstrong wants to confirm all attendees were pleased with event. She has asked you to create a brief survey to give to the attendees who were present for feedback on the following areas:

Satisfaction with presenters

Length of event

Time of year

Create a paper survey using MS Word to send out to the attendees for response. Use ranking questions. Date the survey. Enumerate the questions. Provide a thank you for completing survey. Use textbook template to assist if required.

- Use separate work sheets for each table- Use absolute cell references for the projections - the shortcut key is F4- Use borders, fill, and different fonts to improve the look of your tables- Use a comma separator where appropriate- Use zero decimal places where appropriate as we will be working in whole number for results- Centre each of the column headings- Vertically and horizontally centre each spreadsheet- Rename the tables appropriately- Use all caps for the titles and centre- Under "format cells", choose "text". This will format your cells as text and ensure that they appear exactly as you type them
