In this project you have to design a simple but practical system with braided circuits. You have to design a simple security system with braided circuits, install the design in Cedar Logic and test the design. (please design the circuit system in CEDAR LOGIC) Design considerations: A home security system has five sensors: At window 1 At window 2 At the front door Motion detector for zone 1 Motion sensor for zone 2 In addition, there are two status variables: System is on = 1 No one is there = 1
The security system should work as follows: If the system is on and no one is on site then a signal from any sensor will activate the security system. If someone is present, only signals from the windows and doors will activate the security system. If the system is not on, the security system will never activate. Assume that the sensors give 0 when everything is normal, 1 otherwise (signal).
Answer these questions:
1. Make a truth table for the security system. There are 7 inputs, the number of which can be reduced with resourcefulness while designing the channel (so that the truth table does not become larger but 4 indents), but then add back when the channel is drawn.
2. Convert the behavior description for the security system into Boolean equations.
3.Simplify the equations as much as possible. You can use Boolean algebra or k-maps.
4. Draw the circuit (with all 7 inputs).
5.Show how the system can be easily expanded, i.e. motion sensors can be added and/or sensors for windows and doors.
6.Install your design in Cedar Logic. Mark all entrances and exits with information stop and test functionality.
