Dr. Jackson was interested in studying the effect of taking an HDFS course upon attitudes toward childrearing. At the end of the semester, she distributed a questionnaire to 50 students, mostly HDFS majors, who had been enrolled in at least one HDFS course. Questionnaires were also given to 50 students, mostly business majors, who did not take any courses in HDFS that semester.
