Dr. Reese wants to test Valentine's Day chocolates to see which one people would most like to receive from their partners. He recruits 600 people who are in a relationship and asks them to taste three types of chocolate: milk, dark, and bittersweet. He counterbalances the order in which they taste the chocolates, and asks them to rate each chocolate on a scale from 0 - 5, with 0 being "I hate it" and 5 being "I love it." All the chocolates are made by See's Candies and are the same size
