BOOM is a rocket ship company that would like to create a database for their rockets, parts, sites, and personnel. BOOM has many rockets in their facilities. Each rocket has a unique number. BOOM also wants to store the make, model, and capacity of each rocket. A rocket can be launched at one of BOOMs facilities. A rocket can be launched many times, so the date and time of each rocket launch must be tracked. Over the years, a rocket can be launched at multiple facilities. A rocket can be in production or delayed, so it may not have a launch site yet. Each facility has a number and location. Locations can be anywhere in the world, so city, state, zip code, and country need to be tracked. A location can launch many rockets or no rockets.

BOOM has several parts that make up the rockets. Each part has a unique serial number and name. A rocket is made up of several parts and each part is used on one and only one rocket. The parts are supplied by manufacturers. The information on manufacturers is stored in a separate database.

There are many people working for BOOM, including astronauts, engineers, mathematicians, maintenance crew, accountants, secretaries, and many more. Each person must have an ID, first and last name, and title. A person can have more than one title at a time. Astronauts have to complete several years of training, so BOOM needs to track their training type. To be in compliance, the degree titles and degree year needs to be recorded for all engineers and mathematicians. BOOM also needs to track personnel salary for each person. Lastly, newly hired personnel must be trained by one or more people at BOOM, known as onboarding. Personnel at BOOM can onboard multiple people or no people. When a person is onboarded, the date must be recorded.
