Description of HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Main Aim of the project entitled as HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM is to computerize the Front Office Management of Hospital to develop software which is user friendly, fast, and cost effective.

This software will collect information of patients like name, address, phone no , diagnosis details etc.

Traditionally, it was done manually.

The main function of the traditional system is register.

It stores patient details and doctor details.

Details are retrieved as and when required.

It is also used to manipulate these details meaningfully.

Comouter System input contains patients personal details like name,phone no, address , diagnosis details.

System output is to get these details on to the computer screen.

The Hospital ManagementSystem can be entered using a username and password.

It is accessible by administrator and receptionist.

Only they can add data into the database.

The data can be retrieved easily.

The data can be updated also.

Data updation is also simple process.

Issues related to System :

In traditional systems the information is very difficult to retrieve and to find particular information

The user has to go through various registers.

This results in inconvenience and wastage of time.

Various changes to information like patient details or immunization details of child are difficult to make as paper work is involved.

Manual calculations are error prone and take a lot of time this may result in incorrect information.

Patients bill may get wrong

This becomes a difficult task as information is difficult to collect from various register

Manual system is difficult to handle.

Time is wasted more.

Define hospital and related information

Recording personal information about the Patients.

Generating bills of medical tests and checkups.

Recording all information related to diagnosis given to Patients.

Keeping all the record of the Immunization provided to children/patients.

Keeping information about various diseases and medicines available to cure them.
