According to Terblanche (2017:18), the management and leadership structures at more than 60% of TVET colleges are unable to handle the difficulties facing the TVET college industry at the moment.

Due to the weak management and ineffective administration within the TVET environment, the range of services provided could likely not meet the needs of the customer as well as that of the organisation. Daniel et al. (2017:111) reveals that, in any business, shape or form service quality is at the forefront of customer satisfaction.

Based on the afore condensed literature discussion, this research is informed by an interest in understanding the role of service quality and client satisfaction, operating in a terrain where failure is more common than success.

Thus, the problem cumulates to the current disjuncture in the NSFAS system, college registration, and student financial management within TVET colleges.

This, results in student complaints, student dropout and increased student protests, displaying a level of student dissatisfaction. This compounds the problem even more as money, learning time, and other resources are affected. This needs to be addressed, as it can have a negative impact on the growth of the college and its ability to render services to the satisfaction of customers.

From the above problem statement there is evidence of the consequences of the problem as presented by the author, however, the student needs to contextualise the problem statement. For every consequence, there is a preceding action, which needs to be detailed and contextualised (cause and outcome) to reveal the gap that informs the purpose of the study.Secondly, So many reforms and economic transformations has been ongoing since 2017. Current literature sources should be explored to support the identified problem. Therefore, the two questions to answer is contextualise the problem statement and many reforms and economic transformations have been ongoing since 2017 explore two or three new literature sources to support the identified problem
