Drawing on what you have learned about strategic management this semester, do you think strategy is important? Specifically, is it necessary for an organization to have a unified, coherent strategy? Why or why not? In practice, are strategies the result of a deliberate process or do they simply emerge? What do you think? In the end, what is strategy anyhow? Does strategy matter? Although these may seem like simple questions, they represent the most central questions in the field of strategic management and, as such, they receive a considerable amount of attention from scholars.
