A 9 5/8 hole will be drilled to the total depth of 7,500 ft through 0.468 psi/ft formation pressure gradient with overbalanced of 210 psig. If 1,950 bbls of fresh water based mud is required to drill the hole and 4.35 specific gravity barite will be used as a weighting agent, calculate:

a. Sack of barite required b. Fresh water volume required c. If the mud density will be changed to 10.3 ppg, calculate the barite required and the impact to your mud system.
