Many not-for-profit and religious organizations have found that they can be more successful by marketing their ideas. What are some ways that these organizations market themselves that are similar to and different from the marketing by for-profit businesses?

Is it ethical for churches and religious organizations to spend donor money on marketing? Why or why not? What about charitable organizations spending fundraising dollars?
