Prepare a report for senior management in your organisation reviewing the effectiveness of your marketing activities. Include the following information in your report:
1. A list and brief description of the marketing activities undertaken, including why these activities were chosen.
2. The desired outcomes or objectives of the marketing program (refer to element 1).
3. The work activity plan that was developed to implement the marketing plan.
4. The measures for identifying whether the plan is successful (if possible, collect this information from your organization)
5. A variance analysis on key marketing outcomes to compare actual outcomes with desired outcomes using a table similar to the following. Measure of Actual Desired Variance Favorable/unfavorable effectiveness outcome outcome

4. Personnel Were there enough personnel devoted to performing each task? Did the personnel have the required knowledge, experience and skills to carry out the marketing activity? Were personnel motivated & committed to the implementation of the marketing activity? Were team members satisfied which the way they were managed & the dynamics of the team?
5. Marketing Activity Choice Was the marketing activity selected appropriate in achieving the organization's marketing outcomes? Did the marketing activity reinforce the overall brand image & market position of the organization including its product & services? Did the marketing activities reach its intended target audience and market?
6. Marketing Strategy Is the organization's marketing strategy - cost leadership, differentiation, focus suitable? Did the marketing activities reinforce the marketing strategy?
7. Marketing Environment Were customer needs analyzed effectively? Have customer needs changed? Were competitors, their products, market positions and competitive advantages analyzed effectively? Were the Socio, Economic, Political, Technological environment analyzed effectively? Have there been changes in these environments?
8. Marketing Analysis Was the market defined correctly? Has the market grown or shrunk significantly? Was the market segmented correctly? Is there another way the market could have been segmented? Were all market segments identified? Should other segments have been targeted?
9. Marketing Mix Do the product's features and benefits meet the needs of the consumer? Was a suitable price charged for the for the product or service? Was the promotional strategy pursued suitable? Was the placement or distribution strategy pursued suitable? Could customers purchase the product or service in the manner they desired?
10. Marketing Outcome - objective Were all marketing outcomes achieved? Which marketing outcomes were not achieved? Why? Were the marketing outcomes set SMART?
11. Technology Were personnel provide with the technology required to perform their duties effectively?
12. Suppliers Did suppliers provide products on time and to the required standards? Did spending on products from suppliers remain within budget? Could communication with suppliers could have been improved. a Word Document or PDF document
