Using both the van der Waals $($vdW$)$ and Peng$-$Robinson $($PR$)$ cubic equations of state $($EOS$)$ for each of $1-$propanol, acetone, ethanol, methanol, toluene, and water. These chemical species were selected because they are the only ones that the textbook have all required information on at the target conditions.

Use the following instructions:

To ensure sufficiently rapid heat transfer, the fluids in the boilers and condensers should have a $5F$ deviation from the corresponding environmental conditions.

Use the Antoine Coefficient information in Appendix E to determine saturation pressures at given temperatures for cases to be solved with the cubic EOS. You should use the steam tables and Appendix F data for the first two cycles.

Use the ideal gas heat capacity information in Appendix $D$ for cases to be solved with the cubic EOS. $($Hint: that heat capacity information is a function of temperature, and therefore Equations $4\mathrm{.}58$ and $4\mathrm{.}59$ are not valid$).$

Use Appendix $C$ for $Tc,Pc,$ and $$ values.

For cases to be solved with the cubic EOS, assume that $Hvap$ are constant at these conditions and equal to the values in Appendix C$.$

Assume that all compressors operate with an efficiency of $80\%.$

For each refrigeration cycle, report the hot and cold temperatures, the corresponding pressures, and the coefficient of performance.

Based on the cubic EOS calculations, select which of the chemical species is the best choice for use in the home air conditioner. Justify your decision.
