Audio support often involves working with complex equipment such as microphones, speakers, amplifiers, mixers, etc. Equipment failure, whether due to technical issues, wear and tear, or accidents, can disrupt events or performances. It's understandable that these are valid concerns there but what management couldn't figure out was why was it happening so often. For each shift, there was one person on the tech team covering the scheduled events and they were responsible for making sure everything worked.
