During this epidemic of Covid-19, there has been a lot of talk of the value of R0 (R naught). In this model, R0 = r ? assuming that the total population is 1 (i.e. R, I, and S represent fractions of a population in each state). Assume an initial value of number of infected is 1. Compare the resulting percentage of the populations that get infected at any one time graphically and compare the impact of the value of R0 on the percent of population infected at any one time. Relate this to "flattening the curve". Do fewer people get infected if R0 is changed?
