DUSE EXCELD to calculate incylinder volume, instantaneous piston
velocity, incylinder pressure and all the necessary data of any given engine according to input
parameters. The engine could be working on fourstroke ideal Diesel, Otto or Dual cycle
principle. It can operate wide open throttle or partthrottle and can be naturally
aspirated or turbochargedsupercharged The program should have a user interface in
order to input engine parameters. It must also plot pressure vs volume, pressure vs CA piston
velocity vs CA stroke vs CA and volume vs CA diagrams of the engine selected using program
user interface.
Pressurevolume diagram must be plotted on a semilog graph and volume should
be normalized with clearance volume Vc
Show the strokes, heat input and intake region on the Pv diagram.
If necessary cutoff and pressure ratios must be given or alternatively the fractions of
constant volume and constant pressure heat addition Ambient pressure and
temperatures need to be fed into the program or alternatively the altitude where the engine is running
If there is a turbocharger pressure gain of the turbo must be specified.
Calculate IMEP, thermal efficiency, indicated power & torque and also brake power &
torque for a given mechanical efficiency of the engine for the given engine speed.
Plot also brake power and torque vs engine speed
USE EXCEL NOT MATLAB OR OTHER LANGUAGES.
