Early Childhood.

Think about the various theories we've learned about thus far this semester and choose the theory that you most agree with and that makes the most sense to you. Theories that you can choose from are:

-Piaget's constructivist theory of cognitive development -Information processing theories of cognitive development -Vygotsky's sociocultural theory -Behaviorism/social learning theories -Bowlby's ethological explanation of parent-child relationships/attachment theory -Chomsky's theory of language learning/Language Acquisition Device (LAD) -Piaget's theory of Moral Development -Social Domain theory of Moral Development -Bronfenbrenner's Ecological Systems Theory of Human Development

Answer the following questions:

1. Which theory do you most agree with? 2. Briefly describe the main focus/tenants of the theory you chose. 3. Why do you most agree with that particular theory? In other words, what aspects of that theory make the most sense to you? 4. Are you basing your opinion of that theory on evidence you read about in the book/lecture notes? Your own experiences? What you've witnessed in other children/people? Something else?
