Now, think about the European Union - 28 (more or less) countries with a landmass way less than half that of the US.Think about this from 2 angles:

- France - one of the largest landmass countries in the EU - is 20% smaller geographically than Texas

- Can you imagine needing a different currency to shop in Pennsylvania?A different one yet in North Carolina?That's what it would have been like prior to the adoption of the Euro.

With that said, in 2016 the people of Great Britain voted to LEAVE the EU - Brexit.
