Economics NASH EQUILIBRIUM #2 Three male frogs, Kermit, Jeremiah and Croakie, are out in the evening looking for a mate. Each can either call to attract a female or just sit on a lily pad. A frog that calls has a greater chance of attracting a female but it also has a greater chance of being eaten by a predator than a frog that just sits. A frog that sits may be able to encounter a female who has been attracted by some other frog's call; so sitting yields a better payoff when there are more frogs calling. The payoffs are given in the matrices below. For instance, if Kermit and Jeremiah sit while Croakie calls-the action profile (Sit, Sit, Call)-the payoffs are (2, 2, 7).
