Power and influence impact how interactions, decision-making processes, and overall functioning are shaped within the changing landscape of modern businesses and organizations. Different types of power can influence how tasks are completed, conflicts are resolved, and strategies are developed. These include legitimate power, expert power, referent power like charisma and respect, and various others. Various influence strategies like negotiation, collaboration, and persuasion are used in an organization to inspire the team, gain support, and navigate the complexity of the business dynamics (Park, 2019). The resolution of influence and power dynamics in an organization is vital in achieving strategic objectives. One is that it fosters effective leadership in the organization. Cohesive leadership is key in helping an organization achieve its strategic objectives. It entails having leaders who understand and can manage power dynamics (Grzinger et al., 2022). This means that they can foster effective communication and collaboration, leading to organizational efficiency.

Second is that it fosters decision-making whereby analyzing the business power distribution. People involved in the decision-making process will make their decisions based on the advantages rather than personal or hidden agenda which leads to the development and formulation of sustainable and effective approaches. Third is that it also fosters innovation, creativity, and conflict resolution. In an organization with a healthy power balance, people are likely to be open and share ideas, leading to the development of innovative solutions (Schuldt & Gomes, 2020). On the other hand, effective influence strategies foster cooperation and understanding. This helps the organization avoid disruptions to its strategic initiative. Power and influence play a role in how organizations operate and can significantly affect their performance and strategic achievements (Wynn et al., 2021). 

Addressing these two dynamics can help the organization successfully achieve its goals and objectives.
