Email Assignment

You'll complete this email either from your personal email or from inside of Canvas's inbox. I recommend using your own email for this particular assignment, so you can have more control over the format, etc.

What you need to demonstrate

To be successful with this assignment, you need to show me that you can follow directions, use the available resources (this assignment and the links within), and be thorough with your explanations, using multiple paragraphs each containing multiple sentences. Show that you can differentiate between a text message and a professional email. Use complete sentences, capital letters, and punctuation.

The task

You will write an email to your technical writing instructor that:

• Introduces yourself to the instructor

• Explains ONE of the following:

  • Your biggest challenge for this class or this term

  • Your biggest recent accomplishment (school or personal)

You will need to organize these items into an email that is coherent and presentable. Your email and how well you explain yourself are reflections on you as a person and a student. How you adjust to these realities is something that will be up to you. My suggestion is to be thorough (perhaps a medium sized paragraph for each topic listed above). Provide context and explanation for each of your points.
