Emily is a paralegal at a major law firm. Her supervising attorney asks her to help at a court appearance and because of how the scheduling worked out, Emily must drive separately to the courthouse 30 miles away. On the way, she decides to stop at a fireworks shop because it's almost the Fourth of July and her children love fireworks and she is ahead of schedule. She exits the freeway and has to follow fireworks signs for several miles until she gets deeper into a rural area. When she finally gets to the fireworks stand, she picks up one large sack of fireworks but drops the bag onto another customer's foot, causing injury to the customer because of the weight of the sack.
