Employers do not have the freedom to police their business any way they want. There are federal and state regulations that govern the hiring process, the paying of wages and salaries, the handling of 401(k) plans etc. Please share your opinion on one the of laws related to employers - the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993. During this pandemic, this has become a critical piece of legislation and a life line for workers caring for ill family members. This act requires employers, that meet certain guidelines, to grant workers unpaid leave for a family or medical emergency. Do you think this is fair to the employer and/or the employee? Is this law necessary or should it be revised or even eliminated?
