Purpose

All parties to an employment contract have a vested interest in ensuring that the contract being signed is fair, reasonable and protects their respective interests. The purpose of this assignment is to demonstrate your understanding of the fundamentals to a "good" contract bycomparing and analyzing two employment contracts.

The first contract in found in course textbook: Doorey, D., The law of Work and the second contact you will supply from your selected organization.

Either use your existing organization employment agreements or research aCanadiancompany or not-for-profit organization, to find an example of a contract.If you are having difficulty finding an example please contact the instructor.

Second edition text found on pages 127&128 Country Beer Company

Review the employment contract used at your selected organization (or contact the instructor for a contract example)

Conduct a detailed analysis and write a response of between 550 to 850 words addressing the following:

Describe the fundamentals that comprise a strong, legal employment contract

Describe the differences between the contracts and provide your analysis of the strengths and weaknesses of both contracts.

Recommend changes tothe organization's employment contract, with your rationale and references to the text and case citations, behind your recommended changes. If you recommend that no changes be made, please clear in explaining your rationale.
