End of the year course evaluations are provided to students in a survey. Students are asked questions that require rating from a scale of 1-5. 1 being the lowest score and 5 being the highest score. This particular end of year survey is used to determine course instructor effectiveness. As part of the survey, students rate their instructor but also assess their own intrinsic motivation and autonomy support. Those who are interpreting survey results are curious as to whether or not the intrinsic motivation and autonomy support impact the overall instructor rating.
a total of 320 students completed the survey. I have attached a sample size of 30 randomly selected data to evaluate.
I believe that there is a relationship between the variables of intrinsic motivation and autonomy support with respect to the overall instructor evaluation. I am just unsure as to how to prove that... I am thinking of using a regression but I am unsure if using a regression can prove this hypothesis.
