Entrepreneurial Feature Written Report Individual Assignment This is an individual assignment which is to be submitted into Moodle by November 17th . TASK: You are required to research an actual entrepreneur for this assignment and submit a written report. LOCATION / NATURE OF ENTREPRENEUR: I would ask you try to find an entrepreneur from Nova Scotia, and if you cannot locate one, you are permitted to go outside of Nova Scotia, but please make a valid effort before moving outside of the province. An entrepreneur is an individual who has started, and is currently operating, their own business. They will have started this business from scratch. The business did NOT previously exist before the entrepreneur developed the concept/business. You are encouraged to find an entrepreneur whose interests and pursuits align with yours or pique your curiosity. The entrepreneur you choose to research could be a friend, family member or a stranger. Cape Breton Island is full of entrepreneurs, as is mainland NS in addition to the Atlantic Provinces. To reiterate, please start your search by looking locally, here on Cape Breton Island. If you cannot find one, you may then expand your search to Nova Scotia or further. SPECIFICS OF ASSIGNMENT: For this assignment, you are asked to research the entrepreneur, and discover how they embraced they very broad topic of marketing in the creation and growth of their entrepreneurial venture. Use the internet, books, the library, magazines, social media. Following this, you are asked to consider and reflect upon your learnings to date, related to marketing. You will use the course textbook as a guide for the creation of questions you will seek to answer through your research. The information you must seek out related to the entrepreneur will be reflective of content that we have covered in the various chapters to date in class, plus discussions, case studies and/or upcoming topics of interest.
