Estimated Future Earnings
As part of the personal finance requirement of an Introductory Economics course you need to come up with an estimate of your future earnings. One way to do that is to research what your future occupation might pay you.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics collects data on Occupational Employment and Wages.
Using the BLSOccupational Employment StatisticsData, determine the following:
1a. Find an occupation that you will likely be working in once you have completed college.
1b. For that occupation, list 25th, Median, and 75th percentile wages. (Annual wage not hourly)
This will be used as your income for the second personal finance assignment.
2a. Find an occupation that you will likely be working in 10 years after you have completed college. (For some of you this may be the same one as in 1a. For many, this will be different.)
2b. For that occupation, list 25th, Median, and 75th percentile wages. (Annual wage not hourly)
