Eudora and Nathan decided to visit Fort George with their daughter Maria who is 8 years old. At the entrance there was a notice saying FORT GEORGE AND THE LOCAL COUNTY COUNCIL REGRETS TO INFORM THAT THEY ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY PHYSICAL INJURIES SUFFERED ON THESE PREMISES.

Upon entry Eudora gave Maria some money to buy ice cream and candy and Maria went off to the caf which was located in the middle of the site. The Local Council rented the caf space to Paul, who operated it. On her way to the caf Maria saw the playground and became distracted. There was a sign at the entrance of the playground which read ABSOLUTELY NO ENTRANCE! CLOSED FOR REPAIRS! BEWARE! DANGER!. As Maria climbed on the monkey bars, she immediately fell to the ground injuring her hand.

Meanwhile Nathan and Eudora are walking along the edge of the cliff when Eudoras high-heeled shoe got caught in a branch that was left on the pathway by Brian, the groundsman responsible for removing cuttings. Brian had pruned a tree and was about to remove the branch in accordance with the strict instruction of the Local County Council that all cuttings must be immediately removed, when he got a phone call from his girlfriend and proceeded to walk a small distance away to take the call. Eudora fell backward unto the rocks. She sprained her ankle and cut her hand as she braced her fall. Advise Eudora.
