Example: Vulture Inc. has hired you as a close personal advisor to the CEO. For your first assignment is to prepare an analysis of the company you are assigned. By the way, check your designated preferred email for the name of the company you are assigned. The CEO realizes that you are presently taking the Principles of Finance class taught by an awesome teacher so, you should have the acumen and knowledge to analyze any companys performance and advise the CEO. To impress your new boss, you need to prepare a comprehensive report of the company you are assigned.

The CEO realizes that since you already have the necessary Accounting courses under your belt and have chapter 7 of your book to refer to, you should be able to prepare a report that include the following:

A brief background of your company

How the company is doing presently

What are its mission, vision, and strategy

A brief overview of the industry your company is in

Calculate the ROA and ROE for the latest three (3) years for your company (SHOW YOUR CALCULATION).

Using the DuPont analysis, explain what is happening to each of the components of the ROA and ROE over the last three years. Explain:

What each of the components represents?

How have the components changed over the years?

What caused the changes to the components over the years?

What would you suggest that the company can do to improve the components?

Be sure to include the income statement & balance sheet you used in your report.
