Excel Review Project

In this assignment, you will be able to choose your specific category of stats and make an analysis. You will choose from either of the following topics, record your findings, apply conditional formatting to your stats, and create a chart that shows a trend of that topic. Following your stats, you will create a presentation that explains your findings and opinions. These topics are rather broad in nature, but can allow for so many different variations. Remember, the point of this assignment is to take a stance and use the statistics to prove your point.

Topics:

Sports Analytics: examples include: pro athletes player performance, game outcomes, team defensive stats

Social Media Usage: social media trends, demographics of users, content types

Health and Wellness: Finding differences in dietary choices, and exercise habits, sleep patterns and mental health comparisons

Environmental Sustainability: pollution levels, energy consumptions

Consumer Behavior: purchasing decisions, predicting market trends

Example:

Theory: LeBron James had the best three year stretch in NBA playoff history from $2015-2018.$

Part I: The Research $($Microsoft Excel$)$

Once you have selected your topic, you will do research on trends over a period of an extended period of time $($typically years or months$),$ collecting the data and recording it in your excel spreadsheet. Once you have collected your data, you will be responsible for doing displaying the following skills:

I am now responsible for researching LeBron James' three year playoff stretch and entering it into Excel.

Part II: The Presentation $($Canva$)$

Now it's time to present your data to the class. You will either present this data via screen recording your presentation, or simply presenting them in person. Your presentation must include the following:

Your theory or opinion

$3$ primary points that are supported by the data you selected.

What those points of data tell you about your opinion.

You may need to compare and contrast your data with other people or things.

What you learned by completing this project.
