Exercise #2. The RAD test is a way to explore your knowledge about what you figured in the excel . Apply the RAD test to each spreadsheet entry to see what you really know about them! Ready? The RAD test follows:

• Researchability
  • Do I think I can perform research regarding the entry? How do I know?
  • Have other researchers and organizations explored the entry? (This is important to think about because if there are no publications or explorations, then you may be considering something that no one has yet been able to explore! Or you are the first mover regarding the entry.)
  • Given the entry, what are the essences of their discussions in the professional and research arenas and publications? What are the foci of ongoing discussions?
  • Which peer-reviewed journals and trustworthy websites supply relevant information. (Make a list!) Can I access them?
  • Complete the blank: I need to collect data regarding the entry. I would need to contact __________.
  • Who will support me while I perform research?
• Audience
  • Who cares? (Which individuals, groups, and organizations care about this entry?) Identify the stakeholders.
  • How are stakeholders positively and negatively influenced? How do I know?
  • Can my exploration of the entry generate a beneficial novel perspective (or other benefits) for stakeholders?
• Difference
  • How would exploring the entry make a difference?
  • What would happen if no one researched the entry?
  • What are the needs (or deficiencies) driving a call to change regarding the entry?

Apply the RAD test to each entry in the spreadsheet and update it using your thoughts, reflections, and responses.
