An employee handbook/policy manual is a valuable resource for employers and employees. It provides guidance on an employer's policies and procedures for numerous items, including but not limited to, organizational overview, policies and procedures, benefits, and so much more. Employers should provide employees with these written policies and procedures, and also require a written confirmation from the employee to acknowledge receipt of the written policies and procedures. The policies and procedures should also note that any document should not be construed as an employment agreement (so as not to affect employment at-will status) and note that they are subject to change by the employer. It is also important that an organization have any documents reviewed by legal counsel. For this assignment, you are the Human Resources Manager for an Ohio company with over 200 employees, and you will submit an MS Word document in the format below as part of your organization's policies for the following required areas (an employee handbook would generally have many more sections):
