Job Description ] Our Pact Packaging division is pioneering a whole of product life cycle approach to sustainable packaging. About this opportunity As a Senior Management Accountant, you will be a trusted advisor to site Operations, leveraging best practice in cost and inventory management, controls and governance to drive an increase in shareholder value. You will provide the critical commercial link between Manufacturing / Operations and the various Finance functions, to ensure standard costs are rational and logical enabling our business stakeholders to make well informed decisions based on accurate information - on the factory floor and with our customers. You will be responsible for: Supporting our manufacturing sites to ensure close partnership with business leaders and site stakeholders, including production, sales, procurement, broader divisional and group Finance teams to ensure we have the right inputs and deliver the right outcomes. Building strong relationships and understanding and developing insights into operations within your remit, including key factors such as product / services costing, stock-management, bills-of-materials (BOMs), labour, freight and production technology. Working with your key stakeholders to establish effective review and reporting cadences and ensure clear boundaries are established for accountabilities of the Centre of Excellence team and business counterparties, while providing critical Finance support and being sensitive to the needs of the business Demonstrating your analytical and manufacturing perspective, you'll drive cost effectiveness, extract efficiencies, optimise controls and manage risk with a strong focus implementing best practice cost management and driving consistency of implementation across all parts of PACT Group. To be successful in this role you'll have CPA/CA qualification senior experience in a management accounting or cost accounting role in a manufacturing environment Understanding and experience with manufacturing standard costing practices such as cost allocation methods and cost sensitivity analysis in an SAP environment Experience partnering with cross functional stakeholder to identify opportunities, draw insights, develop solutions and deliver results Demonstrated experience leveraging analytical capability to influence business stakeholders to more effectively manage costs, risks, revenues and profits Sound financial understanding of P&L, accounting systems and financial metrics Excellent communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels in technical or non-technical language A proactive and challenging mindset, with an ability to apply effective questioning, communication and influencing skills to understand business issues, develop targeted analysis and insights, and translate insights into priority findings and actions Tertiary qualifications in Finance, accounting, commerce/business About us Our vision is to lead the circular econo through packaging, reuse and recycling solutions.
