If Australia is to remain economically competitive we need more STEM graduates. If we want more STEM graduates then we must increase enrol- ments in STEM degrees. If we make STEM degrees cheaper for students or relax entry requirements, then enrolments will increase. We have not relaxed entry requirements but the government has made STEM degrees cheaper. Therefore we will get more STEM graduates.
