Extend the concept of regular expression in English to some other European languages like Spanish, French, or Indo-European languages like Hindi, etc. Briefly discuss. Do all regular expressions concepts for English apply to such languages? For example [A-Za-z] represents all English characters in upper case and lower case (52 of them). Will the expression [A-Za-z] represent all Spanish characters? Refer to the extract I have for my Java class regarding French fonts and Spanish (n tilde). Do all the other concepts like \d, \w, +, *, etc. of regular expressions for English apply to the other European languages?
Note you need not only internet to find some answers, but also say the Spanish version of Java or C# to see if the regular expressions there work. For example, when you type a Spanish city name for ValidateInput.java with La Caada, can your Spanish Java program validate that or will that program think you have typed something wrong?
The Spanish character (n tilde) has the unicode \u00F1 and can be printed using Java. Typing the word maana, you can use Google to find the web sites with the keyword maana (Google is smart enough so that if you type manana, it still finds the web site with maana).
