Extra Credit Make use of the PLC's Free Running Timer which can be viewed in the Data Table Display at location S2:4 to flash the door OPEN light while the door is opening. When the door is fully open the OPEN light will be on but not flashing. Place an XIC instruction addressed to S2:4/4 on the rung controlling the OPEN light to make it flash at a reasonable rate. Similarly you could flash the close light while the door is closing. The flashing of the OPEN/CLOSE lights should only occur while the door is moving. If the door is halted then the appropriate OPEN, SHUT or AJAR light should be on but not flashing.
