'Ihe surfacefinish is a cosmetic, decorative quality characteristic oftheproduct, thatifblemished affects theproduct'smarketability. At the end of each day theinspector counts thenumber ofdefective products. The following are theresults of35 days ofinspection. Hehas assigned you the task of determining if a problem(s) exist and suggest p otential solutions. General instructions. 1) Analyze the data using the appropriate descTiptive, presentational, analytical and roblem solvin tools such as desuiptive statistics, frequency distributions, Histograms, Pareto diagrams, run chans, etc. Graphical analysis of the data is required and is to be completed in MINITAB. (Do not use Statiscal Process Control tools). 2) Create one or more cause and effect diagrams ofpotenfial root causes ofthe problem(s). Cause and effect diagrams are a requirement orthe assignment and are to be created using MINITAB. 3) Makerecommendationsto solvetheproblem (or problems).
