Include microstructure in your description. (15 marks) (c) Using the Gibbs phase rule, determine the degree of freedom for single phase and two-phase regions. Explain what the degree of freedom represents. (10 marks) (d) Differentiate between eutectic and eutectoid reactions. Provide an example of alloy for respective reactions. Predict the microstructure if the composition of the eutectic alloy is slightly diverted from the eutectic composition. (15 marks)
