Barbara and Neal Hennessey and some friends recently formed an investment club. Following the appropriate guidelines they formed the group with a club name, prepared and approved partnership agreement and a set of bylaws. They registered the club, obtained the tax ID and established an online brokerage account to handle the clubs investments. The club decided to meet monthly and to set monthly dues at $200. The 15 permanent club members, each having one vote for all club matters, include 13 individuals and two couples for a total of 17 individuals. Each of the 15 members can contribute $200 monthly, a participation level of 1, or $400 monthly, a participation level of 2, but the participation level does not affect the voting rule of one vote per member. The online brokerage account will track the clubs investments, but Felicia Rodriquez, the club treasurer has created a database to handle the club accounting for monthly dues and for any future withdrawals. Felicias database consists of two tables, tblMember and tblContributions. Figure 1 shows the structure of the tblMember table, which stores data about each club member. Each tblMember table records contains a member ID number and each members first name, last name, address, phone, join date and participation level (the Level Field)
