Filip had a difficult relationship with his son Jacek however he was getting old and his health was failing and he wanted to mend their relationship he was aware that Jacek being married with five children was looking for a larger house for his family so he said to Jacek: "You can build a house on my land which would also mean you would be close enough to help me with my failing health" Jacek thought this would mean the house would be his as his dad was rarely open in his thoughts and one had to often read between the lines which also caused some of the difficulties in their relationship. Jacek gratefully accepted also hoping that he would be able to repair the relationship with his father.

It took a year for the house to be built Filip which helped pay half of the cost to speed the process, and once finished Jacek and his family moved in. Jacek started to regularly take care of his dad help clean the house buy shopping and carry out odd jobs around the house which Filip was no longer able to do. After two years Filip's health was failing further and so Jacek also cooked for his father and helped him up in the morning and put him to bed at night. Filip remained taciturn and found it difficult and found it difficult being open and kind with Jacek so their relationship deteriorated again. Within a year, Filip demanded Jacek leave the property.
