Good morning team,

An incident occurred in the carpark this morning, a child arriving to the service with their parent, walked behind a reversing vehicle. While the child was not injured, both families involved were shaken and shocked at how easy a tragedy could have occurred.

Does anyone have a recommendation for something we can put in place to reduce the occurrence of incidents such as this one?

Good morning team,

Our educators have had several back injuries while working on the floor with our children.

Most injuries have been found to be occurring early in the morning when our educators have been setting up our play spaces for the day, greeting families and children, soothing children and at the end of the day when muscles are tired.

What are some procedures we can put in place to reduce staff back injuries?

Research the relevant WHS procedures and provide strategies on effective WHS practices that can be implemented to reduce injury to educators.
