Find 10 job advertisements for similar positions (all for litigation, probate, general law office, etc.) and copy the descriptions into a table or spreadsheet. Identify the skills that these positions require. Do you see similarities? Differences? Write memorandum to your instructor explaining your findings. In your memorandum, provide a general overview of what you found, list the skills that the positions require, and analyze your own skillseither learned in school, obtained in other work, or in combinationto show how you could do the jobs advertised. Last, identify areas where you could improve your knowledge or experience and try to identify one strategy for doing so. Attach your spreadsheet of job descriptions as Attachment A.
