Finding a desirable job often involves intense moments of uncertainty, doubt and uncomfortableness. Occasionally, great jobs just land in people's laps, but usually there is quite a bit of unseen work behind the scenes that lead to landing great jobs. It is a rare person who hasn't experienced the frustration of not knowing where to look for jobs, submitting applications or resumes that are never responded to, interviews that don't go well or never materialize, and jobs that turn out to be different than advertised. It is not the existence of these things that determine a successful job hunt, it is the perseverance in spite of them that creates career success. Although this course is not focused on finding specific jobs, it is indented to help you determine what direction you'd like to take your career once you graduate and plan the steps to get there. Anticipating difficulties is part of any sound planning process. For this discussion assignment, create a post below answering the following prompts: 1. What do you think the hardest or most challenging part about finding a job (or getting your next job) once you graduate will be? 2. Identify one thing that you will try or do to lessen that challenge. Finding a desirable job often involves intense moments of uncertainty, doubt and uncomfortableness.
