First, identify a list of all the entities in the problem. And make an ERD based on the top-down design concepts covered in CH4. Then, using the concept of bottom-up design and normalization covered in CH6, design a database based on the enclosed Employee data. Study the data carefully to understand the relationships. Note that each job_class belongs to a specific department, for example job_class JNT (Janitor) belongs to SVC (General Services) department. Please ensure that in your final design ERD all the relations are in 3NF and the relationships are properly established, i.e., the database is fully integrated. Your design should provide for the storage of the all the data. You are provided few employee records that are stored in columns as sample data for your analysis.
