First, would it be fair to say that from the viewpoint of tech companies and their retails, consumers exist to buy and use their products?
Secondly, when we talk of "progress" and "advancement," I want to ask, "Towards what goal?"  If technology doesn't make our lives easier, if we're always having to adapt to benefit from new upgrades, have we and our tools traded places?
