Five brothers own a large track of land. The land contains 1,000 acres of prime farm- land, a lake with a large cabin, and a large mountain area that is undeveloped. The brothers acquired the property from their father, who gained sole ownership of the land after the death of his wife. The deed specified that the property would be held in fee simple as joint tenants with right of survivorship. One of the brothers reasons that since he owns one-fifth of the land, he should enjoy for himself the mountain area.
