Flowchart & Algorithm the following process: Making change.
Create both a Flowchart and also
An algorithm for the process.
Note: The flowchart and algorithm should be describing the same process (don't create two different overall processes but create two different descriptions of the same process).
General description of the process you are flowcharting & creating an algorithm --- A customer is presented a bill (consider a bill at a restaurant or store, e.g. owe $x amount) and then the proprietor is given an amount greater than the bill (e.g. an amount $Y which is more than enough is provided). The proprietor now needs to determine the change, $(Y-x) AND to determine how many of each paper monies , and $1 and coins ($0.25,$0.10,$0.05,$0.01) to return to as the change.
Note: Assume the maximum amount of change tendered (offered to cover the bill) is no more than $9 dollars greater than the bill, in other words the largest paper bill you would need to return will be $5.
Flowchart ANY Process you define.
Make sure to clearly define the process in words as well as creating the flowchart. Get creative as much as you like --- this could be an 'entertaining' flowchart
