Flue gas is fed to the absorber bottom directly at temperature of 121C at 31kg/s. Flue gas flows upward through the packing and counter-currently contacts with the solvent. The lean solvent is feed into the absorber at about 52C. The inlet data for the absorption process to carry out the design calculations are given in Table 1. Rich solvent (high content of CO2 reaction product) exits the base of the packed-bed absorber.
